Strings

Tennis strings, far more than other racquet sports, are incredibly numerous and diverse and as a consequence, I have chosen carefully my ‘stock’ strings (above) to apeal to the majority of club players.  I can readily obtain numerous strings from manufacturers such as Babolet, Luxilon, Ashaway, Technifibre, Prince, Yonex, Pros Pro etc, etc, so please ask for a quotation and discuss the area of string choice in more detail with me on my mobile or by email.

Tension

Ranges in tension are varied depending on playing style.  A tightly strung racquet will provide more ‘feel’ at the expense of power and vice versa.  ‘Feel’ will diminish on a less tightly strung racquet, but the power will increase.  The permissible range is usually stated on the racquet itself.  The general range is between 45lbs and 65lbs.

Grips

I keep a stock of Karakal Supagrip grips and charge £2.50 for supply and fit.  Grips can be permanently increased (and in some case decreased) – please ask for further details.
